Authorities this week arrested one of three men accused of attacking a Warrenton homeowner and causing severe injuries.Bo M. Jones, 28, Warrenton, was arrested for first-degree assault and armed criminal action. He could face at least 10 years in prison.Warrenton police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Santa Maria Drive after 10 p.m. Sept. 18 to investigate a traumatic head injury, according to a police report. When officers arrived, they found medics in the garage treating a man on a stretcher. Police said there was a large amount of blood covering the victim, the stretcher and the garage floor.The victim reportedly stated that three men had entered his garage and assaulted him with a blunt object. The man’s condition became progressively worse and he was taken to a hospital by ambulance staff.A friend of the victim later informed police that the victim was taken to St. Louis University Hospital due to head trauma. He reportedly suffered numerous skull fractures, multiple brain bleeds, injuries to his back, and had a finger amputated due to an injury from the assault.The victim was able to communicate after receiving the injuries, and allegedly identified Bo Jones as the person who had struck him. Police said the weapon used against the victim was determined to be an ax handle.No other information was released about the other two men allegedly involved in the attack, or why the attack might have taken place.Crime
