Warren County deputies arrested a Wright City man last week after a report that he choked a woman and then dragged her by her hair.
Jeffrey Allen, 61, was arrested Aug. 13 and charged with second-degree domestic assault.
Deputies allege that Allen assaulted a female victim during an argument. After allegedly choking and struggling with the woman, Allen reportedly dragged her by the hair and attempted to lock her in another room.
Deputies said the victim showed red and purple irritation around her throat, as well as injuries to her leg from being dragged.
Allen allegedly admitted to deputies that he had struck the woman, put his hands on her throat and dragged her.
Allen was taken into custody at the Warren County Jail. His next hearing is Aug. 26 in Warren County Circuit Court.
