A 58-year-old St. Charles man is accused of concealing a painkiller behind a stamp in a letter mailed to a Warren County Jail inmate.Authorities reported that six squared strips were located underneath three stamps when the envelope was confiscated on Nov. 18, 2014. The strips were not part of the stamps and appeared to be drug-related, police said. The strips tested positive for buprenorphine, a controlled substance that is used to treat pain.An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for Kenneth Dufrenne. He is charged with felony drug distribution. A $25,000 bond has been set. According to the probable cause statement, Dufrenne’s name and address was listed as the sender of the envelope.Crime
