Warren County Ambulance staff responded to a person who accidentally shot himself Nov. 28 south of Wright City.
The patient stated he was working on his gun when it discharged, according to Ambulance District Administrator Ralph Hellebusch. The call came in at 4:47 p.m.
The man had wounds on his upper right leg and lower left leg. Bleeding was controlled at the scene and the patient was treated for pain, Hellebusch said. His injuries were not severe.
Ambulance staff transported the man to St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis.
