The Alzheimer’s Association is hosting a free care consultants day from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at the Warren County Health Department, 101 Mockingbird Lane in Warrenton.Consultations are social workers with expertise on how to help guide families at all stages of the Alzheimer’s journey.The one-hour consultations will help answer questions and address concerns. Consultants will discuss dementia and Alzheimer’s-related issues. Topics include things like caregiver stress, diagnosis questions, resources and services, coping with behaviors and learning how to communicate with someone with dementia.People with an appointment will be seen by a consultant. To make an appointment, call 314-801-0399 by Friday, Sept. 15. Anyone who walks in without an appointment will be seen if time allows.Alzheimer's Association
