Update 3/15/2021:
The Major Case Squad and medical examiners have determined that a sudden medical issue was the cause of a death near Warrenton that was originally reported as suspicious. The deceased man has been identified as Jerry A. Ard Jr. No additional information has been released about the medical incident, and the death is no longer considered suspicious.

The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has been activated to investigate a suspicious death that was discovered on Saturday, March 13.
The Major Case Squad said it is assisting the Warren County Sheriff's Department to investigate the death of 48-year-old man who was found dead by a friend at a home in the 26000 block of Ridge Trail Drive, which is southwest of Warrenton. The man's body was found just before noon.
Additional details about the death have not been released.
