Lou Etta Clark nee Holyfield of Warrenton, formerly longtime resident of Wright City, passed away on February 8, 2022, at the age of 88. Lou Etta was born May 5, 1933, in Hattieville, AR, to the late Orvil and Lucy Holyfield nee Rackley.
She is survived by her four children, David Charles (Victoria) Clark of Jonesburg, MO, R. Alan Clark of Jonesburg, MO, Keith N. (Johnnie) Clark of Warrenton, MO, Pamela (Jeff) Hambach of Warrenton, MO; brother Rayburn (Margaret) Holyfield of Grafton, IL; 2 step-sons, Henry (Marie) Oliver, and George Oliver; two sisters, Jane Pickerell of Indianapolis, IN, Barbara Illers of Jackson, MO; 8 grandchildren, Charity and husband Richard, Adrienne and husband Ben, Lacy and husband Alex, Matthew and wife Cindy, Tito and wife Hallie, Alanna and husband James, Jonathan and wife Hannah, and Jeremy; 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband R.D. Clark, brothers O.V. Holyfield, Tom Holyfield, David Holyfield, Roy Holyfield, and Lester Holyfield; sisters, Emma Lee Hedrick, Joyce Staggs, and Marlyn Holyfield.
Lou Etta was a member of Faith Christian Family Church in Warrenton. She enjoyed working in the garden, painting, traveling, flowers, and animals. Lou Etta would bale hay in the summers and did so until she was 60. Lou Etta loved her family and enjoyed always spending time with them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm at Pitman Funeral Home in Warrenton. A second visitation is scheduled for Sunday, February 13, 2022, from 12:30 to 1:30 at Faith Christian Family Church in Warrenton. Funeral service will follow, and Lou Etta will be laid to rest at Wright City Cemetery.
