Theses individuals were charged with crimes by the Warren County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.They are awaiting trial. Information has been culled from police reports, probable cause statements and case.net (court) updates.• Michael S. Dempsey Jr., 40, Warrenton, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a felony, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Police executed a search warrant at Dempsey’s residence at the 600 block of Third Street in Warrenton Feb. 9. Police found pipes allegedly involved in drug use, bags containing substances identified as methamphetamine and marijuana, and a digital scale. Dempsey was arrested and is out of jail on a $10,000 bond.• John M. Schmidt, 29, Warrenton, is charged with stealing a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession or transport of an illegal weapon, all felony charges. He was stopped along with Michael D. Hesterberg while driving in Warren County on Feb. 16. Schmidt had a stop order from St. Charles County and has a prior felony stealing conviction from 2013. The butt of a gun was in plain view in the vehicle, and a switchblade knife was found in Schmidt’s pocket.• Michael D. Hesterberg, 33, New Florence, is charged with unlawful possession or transport of an illegal weapon, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. He was stopped along with John M. Schmidt while driving in Warren County on Feb. 16. A pill bottle containing suspected marijuana was located on the drivers side floorboard where Hesterburg was seated, and a switchblade knife was found in his pocket.• Kimberly L. Coleman, 32, Wentzville, is charged with felony drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Warrenton police responded to the 700 block of First Street twice on Jan. 10 to check the well-being of Coleman after she allegedly threatened to harm herself when a family member denied her money. An officer allegedly saw Coleman through a window tampering with drug paraphernalia. Police entered the residence and located needles, other paraphernalia and capsules that tested positive for heroin. Coleman was arrested and is out of jail on a $5,000 bond surety.Crime
