Local chiropractor retires after 20 years

Jean Burle owned and operated Burle Family Chiropractic Center for exactly 20 years on Main Street in Warrenton.On April 1 of this year, she officially closed her office.The office opened April 1, 1996. Burle said she didn’t plan to close on the same date 20 years later.“I didn’t realize it until after,” she said, adding she’s been semi-retired for about five years.Even though the practice has closed and the building is for sale, Burle said she’s proud both her son and a nephew also become chiropractors.It was a family business, she said, but that doesn’t make it an easy accomplishment for them.“You have to go to college and then work for it,” she said.Burle said she was drawn to become a chiropractor because its natural health care.“So many things could be solved simply,” she said.Burle says that lifestyle changes and some natural supplements and treatments can solve a lot of ailments.“No surgery, no drugs, no side effects,” she noted.The decision to retire came about due to increased family demands and a desire to travel.Burle says her business was successful and she always loved the people.“What I’m going to miss is seeing my patients,” she said.The practice was located at 307 E. Booneslick Road in Warrenton.Chiropractic
