Mrs. Linda Fay Tipton (nee: Grimes) of Warrenton, MO, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the age of 74 years. She was born on July 3, 1947, in Dayton, OH, to the late Calvin and Mary (nee: Smith) Grimes.
Linda was united in marriage to Jimmie K. Tipton on March 13, 1972, in Florissant, MO., They celebrated 40 years of marriage before his passing in 2012. Linda was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her husband and children. She was a member of Faith Christian Family Church in Warrenton. She loved to sing gospel music and sang at FCFC and also at the Warrenton Wesleyan Church. She and Jimmie enjoyed dancing, especially doing the Jitterbug. Linda loved to cook, for her family or for anyone who might need a home-cooked meal. Linda enjoyed going to Florida and loved spending days on the beach. She loved cats and at one time had six. She also ran a small business from her home, "Linda's Exercise Studio." Linda was a loving and devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Linda Tipton was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie; her parents, Calvin and Mary; one daughter, Anna Marie Corbin; brothers, David Grimes and Melvin Grimes. Those who remain grateful for having shared in Linda's life are her children, Joe Tipton and wife Pam, Linda Scott and husband Steve, Jamie Benny; 8 grandchildren, Kylea Frei (Jordan), Joe Tipton Jr., Trichia Tipton (Erik Statler), Michael Retkowski (Danielle), Linda Mueller (Thomas), Danny Salvatori, Brandon Scott, Blain Duncan; 5 great-grandchildren, Cora, Weston, Sean, Aiden, Quinton; 4 siblings, Joyce Daughtery, Roberta Owens (Tom Schlorman), Lewis Grimes (Lisa), Patricia Adams; one son-in-law, Paul Corbin; siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A visitation for Mrs. Tipton will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton.
