The Liberty Christian Academy girls basketball team rolled en route to winning the Metro Athletic Conference crown.
Liberty Christian defeated Eagle Ridge Christian 73-23 in the championship game this weekend. Liberty Christian held a 44-14 lead at halftime. Senior Andrea Mueller and Sophomore Sophi Mueller each scored 14 points to pace the Eagles’ offensive attack. Alli Meyer and Adison Roden each scored nine points.
The Eagles also won their quarterfinal and semifinal games by over 40 points. They defeated Fulton 57-11 in the conference tournament quarterfinal. They defeated Westwood Baptist Academy 68-23 in the semifinals.
The Liberty Christian boys basketball team placed third in the MAC tournament. The Eagles defeated Eagle Ridge Christian 51-32 in the quarterfinals. After falling to Maryville Christian 39-37 in the semifinals, the Eagles rebounded to defeat Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis 59-48 to earn third place.
The Liberty Christian boys and girls basketball teams are both slated to square off against The Daniel Academy today in the MCSAA Division 1 quarterfinals.
