As Liberty Christian Academy (LCA) moves into its 10th year in our community, the board of education is pleased to announce the following administrative changes beginning in July.Beverly Wilgus, who has been on staff since the school opened in 2005, will be the new administrator. She has held the position of lead teacher and senior advisor, while working closely with the current administration.Wilgus has a bachelor of science degree from Evangel University in Springfield, Mo., and has completed course work towards a master’s degree from Missouri Baptist University. She has 19 years of christian teaching experience at the secondary level. Also joining Liberty Christian as the assistant administrator is Sue Schloeman. She is coming from Wesleyan Kiddie Kollege in Warrenton, where she has held a kindergarten teaching position since 2008. Schloeman has 13 years of christian teaching experience and has taught several grade levels from kindergarten through sixth grade. She is a graduate of Messiah College in Pennsylvania.“The LCA board had been reviewing resumes since October, when our current administrator, Dr. Rita Wildhaber, announced her plans for retirement,” stated school board President Butch Clark. “Dr. Wildhaber has done a remarkable job since she joined us in 2007.”Wildhaber and her husband, Ray, plan to retire in Florida at the end of the current school year. Clark added, “While we will miss them greatly, we are excited about the future of the school and the experience both Mrs. Wilgus and Mrs. Schloeman bring to our campus.”Liberty Christian announces changes to administration
