Lewis to Serve Remainder of Prison Terms

A Warrenton man recently was ordered to serve the remainder of seven-year sentences handed down three years ago for drug possession and stealing, according to Mike Wright, Warren County prosecuting attorney. A Warren County circuit judge revoked Lewis' probation April 11. James Lewis, 22, pleaded guilty in 2010 to two charges of drug possession and one charge of stealing a controlled substance, according to Wright. Lewis was ordered to serve 12 months of his sentence and to undergo treatment for substance abuse. He was released in December 2011 and placed on five years' probation. In 2012, Lewis was arrested at least six times for various offenses, including stealing, domestic assault, property damage, drug possession and driving with a revoked license, Wright said. Lewis was arrested March 21 on suspicion of heroin possession and again on April 6 on suspicion of robbery and resisting arrest. He entered not guilty pleas in response to those charges. Those cases are pending, according to court records.
