To the Editor,
Isn’t it time the (Warrenton) Fire Protection District stopped requesting a sales tax increase? How many times is this allowable and how many times do we have to turn it down?
First, they need to quit responding to ambulance calls. Then they need to figure out why volunteerism is off. And if they really need money, request a small increase in the property tax which is applicable to the fire department.
I support the fire department and the men serving. I deplore the continuing request of a sales tax increase. Our sales taxes are among the highest in the state, if not the highest.
