Mrs. LaVada Laverne (Nee: Plaggenburg) Gerdeman of Curryville, MO passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021. She was born May 27, 1948, in Ferguson, MO, to Lawrence Benard and Lorraine (Nee: Nix) Plaggenburg. She had reached the age of 73 years.
LaVada married Gary Gerdeman January 16, 1988 in Warrenton, MO. To say she loved horses is an understatement. She raised, rode, trained and barrel-raced horses her entire life and won multiple awards. She was given the nickname "The Traveler" because she was always on the road with her horses. She also loved her Dachshund "Dexter". When she was home, she enjoyed watching old western movies.
LaVada was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Lorraine; daughter, Lorraine Hollaway Burk. She is survived by her husband, Gary; son, Lonnie Hollaway Jr. (Julie); siblings, Lauren Corder, Jack Plaggenburg; nieces, nephews, and many other friends and family.
We will celebrate the Life of LaVada Laverne Gerdeman, Thursday, November 11, 2021, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton, MO. Funeral services will start at 12:00 PM also at the funeral home followed by interment at Warrenton City Cemetery.
