A Lake St. Louis woman was recently charged with possession of a controlled substance for an incident that occurred Aug. 31, 2025.
According to a probable cause statement filed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway M around 9:07 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2025 without a rear license plate. The deputy stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver Megan Soest, who had a suspended license. During a search of the vehicle the deputy located a black backpack inside the vehicle. The deputy located a glass container with a small clear plastic baggie containing a white crystalline substance consistent with methamphetamine.
A court hearing in Soest’s case has been scheduled for May 27 at 9 a.m.
