Kroger honors Ebbesmeyer as 2014 Community Service Award winner

The Kroger Co.’s Central Division, headquartered in Indianapolis, has announced 19 Community Service Award winners for 2014 who were selected from among 136 nominees submitted by each of the division’s 136 stores.Peggy Ebbesmeyer, an employee at the Kroger store located at 604 East Booneslick in Warrenton, was selected as one of 19 winners for 2014.Ebbesmeyer volunteers as the 4-H project leader in Warren County and has 20 years of service as a volunteer for the Warren County Cattlemen’s Association, 12 years on the Warren County Fair Board livestock committee taking care of breeding livestock and serves on the picnic committee at Holy Rosary Church.Ebbesmeyer is a 31-year employee of The Kroger Co. She was nominated by her store manager, Vernon Light.According to Kroger President Jeff Burt, “As a company Kroger is deeply committed to serving our local communities. We believe customer service and community service are integral parts of the same purpose. We deliberately seek ways to honor those associates whose community service and leadership inspire others. We invest considerable volunteer time, talent and financial resources in supporting our communities.“Peggy demonstrates community service in a truly inspiring way.
