A new Kiwanis club was recently organized in Wright City to give community members the opportunity to help kids, and new members are welcome. The Kiwanis Club of Wright City will meet at noon the first and third Wednesday of each month at Ruiz Castillo Mexican Restaurant, 223 N. Service Road in Wright City. The new Kiwanis Club of Wright City will focus on service projects identified by members that address community needs.“Kiwanis clubs provide a great opportunity to meet new friends who believe in serving their communities,” said Katina Kelley, secretary. “Kids need Kiwanis in our community so they can grow up in a world where they are happy, healthy, safe and loved.”Kiwanis International has more than 600,000 members around the world dedicated to volunteer service that helps kids. The Wright City Kiwanis Club was formed by Ed and Martha Radginski and Barb Thompson to help meet the needs of children in Wright City.“We understand the changing needs of today’s busy volunteers, and encourage members to give time when they can, whether that’s at a service project or at a meeting,” said Radginski, lieutenant governor Kiwanis Division 6. “We hope that men and women of all ages will join us and help make a difference for children in this community.”For more information or to join, call Martha Radginski at 636-359-0316 or attend one of the meetings.
