A new Kiwanis Club is opening in Wright City to give community members the opportunity to help kids.“Kiwanis clubs provide a great opportunity to meet new friends who believe in serving their communities, networking with business professionals and making a significant impact on the community through volunteering,” said Martha Radginski, Kiwanis division lieutenant governor.“Kids need Kiwanis in our community and in communities around the world, so they can grow up in a world where they are happy, healthy, safe and loved,” Radginski said. The new Kiwanis Club of Wright City will focus on service projects addressing several community needs identified by new members, which could include bringing more clubs and activities for children to the area and assisting with the local food pantry.Members of Kiwanis have been visiting businesses and area residents to explain what Kiwanis is about.“We understand the changing needs of today’s busy volunteers, and encourage members to give time when they can, whether that’s at a service project or at a meeting,” said Ed Radginski, secretary, Kiwanis Club of O’Fallon. “Kiwanians are people just like you and me. They love getting involved in the community and they love helping kids.”For more information or to join, call Martha Radginski at 636-359-0316 or email me.radginski28@gmail.com.Founded in 1915, Kiwanis International is a global organization of clubs and members dedicated to serving the children of the world.
