Sophomore Dillon Keeven was the lone medalist for the Warrenton golf team at the GAC Tournament held on Wednesday at Bear Creek Golf Course in Wentzville.Keeven shot an 83 to finish third, earning him a spot on the all-conference first team during his first season as a varsity starter. Only two golfers, St. Charles West's Davis Soderberg and St. Charles' Cole Gibson finished ahead of him.As a team, the Warriors were able to move up a ranking from where they entered the tournament — in last place after not winning a head-to-head match all season.Warrenton shot a 401, boosting them ahead of Winfield.In the No. 2 spot, junior Rob Hill recorded a 111.At No. 3, sophomore Ryan Adams shot a 100, while sophomore Taylor Lutz carded a 107 at No. 4.In the final spot, sophomore Conrad Schaumberg shot a 114.St. Charles claimed the team title for the season.The Warriors will compete in the Class 3 District 3 Tournament on Tuesday at Aberdeen Golf Course in Eureka.KEEVEN EARNS ALL-GAC HONORSDerrick Forsythe photo.
