Mrs. Kathleen Sue Hitchcock (nee: Adams) of Warrenton passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022. She was born on January 17, 1943, in Wilson, Oklahoma, to the late Edmond and Alice Adams (nee: Dumas). Kathleen had reached the age of 79 years.
Kathleen was united in marriage to the late C. Douglas Hitchcock, Jr. and shared many wonderful years together. To this union 6 children were born; Cindy, Mike, Mark, Kathleen, Doug III and Becky.
Kathleen spent many years being a nurse and caring for others. She spent a lot of time in her floral shop arranging flowers and also loved planning events for numerous friends and family as well as baking and decorating cakes for all occasions. In her spare time, she was a seamstress for Halloween, weddings, school dances, or any other occasion needed.
Those that are grateful for having shared in Kathleen's life are her children, Cindy Hoover and husband Mark, Mark Hitchcock, Kathleen Brackney and husband Matt, Doug Hitchcock III and wife Nadia, and Becky Schoppenhorst and husband Glenn; grandchildren, Robert, Elizabeth, Curtis Jr., Micky, Nicholas, Mark, Kaila, Rebecca, Sarah, Ryan, Mary, Brianna, Maria and Glenn Jr.; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Taber, Harper, Tucker, Trey, Ruby Mae, Blake, Cole, Charlie, Oliver, Bennett, Ellie, Mason, Adilyn, and Everly. She was the dear sister of Debbi Rodgerson and best friend of Patty Grafrath. Kathleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Doug; loving son, Michael, and dear grandson, Dominic. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, nana and friend of many, and she will be missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Marthasville. Burial will follow in the St. Ignatius Cemetery.
