A Baldwin City, Kan., man, 53, crashed into an abandoned vehicle on Interstate 70 in Warren County at 11:25 p.m. on May 19, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The man was traveling east on I-70 at the 191 mile marker when he struck the right side of the vehicle, which was abandoned in the left lane of the interstate, according to the patrol.
The man sustained moderate injuries in the accident and was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis via ambulance.
According to the patrol he was not wearing his seat belt in the accident.
