Timika Hamilton, 34, of Kansas City, was charged with one count of felony child abuse or neglect in Warren County stemming from an incident that took place on July 17.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy David Brown, officers responded to a physical disturbance between Hamilton and her 12-year-old daughter.
According to the probable cause statement, the two were having an argument and when the daughter turned away, Hamilton threw her to the ground and began striking her.
Witnesses stated Hamilton was striking her in the back of the head and Brown reported Hamilton was still holding her down and striking her when they arrived.
A warrant has been issued for her arrest and she is to be held without bond.
