The 13th annual Knights of Columbus Journey for Charity Tractor Cruise is set for Sunday, Sept. 13.
The annual tractor cruise collects food, dry goods and donations for multiple food pantries in Franklin and Warren counties.
Area residents are invited to come out and watch the farm tractors cruise through 30 miles of the two counties. Service vehicles will be collecting canned food and cash donations all along the cruise route — so spectators are encouraged to bring donations with them to watch the parade.
Almost $275,000 and 21,000 pounds of food have been collected by the Journey for Charity so far.
The tractors on the Warren County route will depart St. Ignatius Church in Concord Hill at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 13, driving to the area of St. Paul’s UCC in Marthasville.
The tractors will then travel from Marthasville to St. Vincent School in Dutzow, departing at 10:55 a.m.
From St. Vincent, tractors will depart at 12:15 and head to Immaculate Conception Church, and then from there travel through Augusta.
After 1 p.m., the Warren County tractor parade will travel from Augusta, cross the Missouri River, and join the Franklin County route, meeting at the Washington Knights of Columbus Hall.
After the cruise, spectators are invited to attend a barbecue and tractor show at the Knights of Columbus Hall from 2:30-5:30 p.m. The hall is located at 1121 Columbus Drive, Washington. There will be a pedal tractor pull for kids, tractors of all types on display, food and drinks. Canned goods and donations will continue to be accepted during the show.
