A man from Jonesburg riding a motorcycle through St. Charles County was injured Monday because of vehicle fluid that was spilled on the road.Dennis W. Giles, 60, was traveling on Highway D east of New Melle when he encountered a large amount of oil and transmission fluid on the road surface, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri Highway Patrol.Giles lost control of the 2007 Harley Davidson Electra Glide he was riding and traveled off the right side of the road. The motorcycle struck a ditch and Giles was thrown from the vehicle.He had moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by St. Charles County Ambulance. Giles reportedly was not wearing safety equipment when the vehicle crashed.Crash
