Johnny Steven Tracy, age 76, passed away on September 9. Johnny was born to Edgar Otto Tracy and Marie Anderson Tracy and lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love for his family. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he was honorably discharged and awarded the Purple Heart.
Following his military service, Johnny built a long and accomplished career as a mechanical engineer, retiring after 40 years ending with Tubular USA. In his youth, he was a talented athlete, becoming a High School State Champion wrestler and earning a scholarship to Oklahoma State University. Outside of work, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family, and his retirement on his “Little Farm.”
Johnny is survived by his devoted wife, Cindi Tracy; their daughters, Beth Casey and her husband, Shawn Casey, and Sara Headley and her husband, Joshua Headley; and his grandchildren, Lennon, Piper, Carter, and Zelena and his beloved pets, Frankie and Callie. He is also survived by his sisters, Denise Marchetti and Darlene Smetts.
He will be remembered for his strength, resilience, and the love he gave to those around him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at New Life Baptist Church in Forestell on September 21, beginning at 10:30 a.m., with a luncheon to follow.
