Mr. John "Jack" Robert Obst, of Warrenton, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021, at his home. He was born on October 3, 1940, in St. Louis, MO., to the late Frank and Loretta Obst. Jack had reached the age of 81 years.
Jack earned his bachelor's degree and began a career as an electrical engineer. He worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis for over 30 years. He was united in marriage to Rita Huber. To this union four children were born. Jack enjoyed working on and building computers in his spare time. He enjoyed the country, being outside, and enjoying the view. Jack spent a lot of time at his property in Wright City.
Jack Obst was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He is survived by his children, Kenneth Obst and wife Michele, Teri Stubits and husband Vince, Karen Pavy and husband Galen, and Tammy Stubits; his significant other, Thersa Vogt; 8 grandchildren, Danielle Wilburn (Adam), DJ Lewis, Deanna Obst, Chelsea Barton - Collins (Adam), Jason Gomez, Kevin Obst, Destinee Obst, and Lexi Stubits; several great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
