James Bendickson of Warrenton passed away on February 14, 2022, at the age of 90. Jim was born August 6, 1931, in Ventura, CA, to Percy and Luella Bendickson nee Groeber.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Susan Hellebusch of Warrenton; son, James "Craig" (Monica Allen) Bendickson of Milton, FL; special friend, Beverly Kramer of Winfield, MO; 6 grandchildren, Shane, Brent (Tracy), Nick (Ayuko), Ashley (Chaz), Amanda (Kyle), Justin (Casey); and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Percy Charles Bendickson; mother, Luella Bendickson; wife, June Bendickson; and son-in-law Vernon Hellebusch.
Jim served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jonesburg Lions Club, and Knot Hole Gang. Jim was able to take part and go to Washington D.C. on the Honor Flight. Jim loved the St. Louis Cardinals but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 18, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home in Jonesburg. Funeral services for Jim will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Jonesburg City Cemetery.
