Items From Over 30 Meth Labs Seized

A Warrenton man was taken into custody Monday morning as the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and the East Central Drug Task Force executed a search warrant and found items from over 30 separate methamphetamine labs. During the raid, authorities seized components, equipment, ingredients and waste products from the labs from inside the home, the trash and property behind the residence, according to Sheriff Kevin Harrison. Bryan C. Lang, 26, of the 900 block of W. Booneslick, has been charged with two felony charges for manufacturing and possession of a controlled substance. He is lodged in the Warren County Jail in lieu of a $35,000 bond. Due to the volume of hazardous materials discovered at Lang’s property, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources assisted in the recovery, transportation and disposal of over 100 pounds of waste products. “It was a lot of small user quantity labs where he would discard the chemicals and then he does another one,” Harrison said. “There was quite a bit of the lab operations and remains discarded everywhere. The investigator said it was like a hazardous waste dump.” The search warrant was performed at 4:30 a.m. as a result of an ongoing burglary and theft investigation from Montgomery County and an investigation into the possession and manufacturing of meth, Harrison said. In addition to the meth labs, detectives recovered several thousand dollars worth of tools and other property stolen from businesses in Montgomery County, Harrison said. “We made a very good arrest and Montgomery (County) was able to recover some property,” Harrison said. “It was just another example of a joint investigation by three agencies that ended well.”
