Record Managing EditorThe Innsbrook Board of Trustees meetings will continue to be held at night.Trustees agreed to push the start time to 7:30 p.m. for the meetings, which are held the second Tuesday of each month.The board was expected to return to its former time of 9:30 a.m. following the May meeting, but decided to keep the meetings at night.Village Administrator Chris McCormick said the new start time was needed due to a scheduling conflict.“It was everybody’s schedule and gives people who work during the day the opportunity to come to the meetings,” she said.The trustees meetings are held at the village hall, located at 1845 Highway F.In other news• Jeff Thomsen will continue to serve as chairman of the board after being appointed to fill the role for the next year. All five trustees approved the nomination at the April 14 meeting.Trish Dunn was unanimously nominated to serve as village clerk.• Discussion was held on a use tax and a proposed bill that was submitted by the Missouri Municipal League and forwarded to the village attorney for review. More than a year ago MML had advised to not take any action at that time due to planned changes at the state level.A use tax can be placed on out-of-state purchases, such as vehicles, boats and trailers, that are used in state. Any proposal would have to be approved by voters.• Trustees continue to review the applications for village administrator. McCormick, the current administrator, plans to retire June 1 after spending around six years at Innsbrook. She previously was city clerk in Warrenton.• The board approved Step Up TLP, LLC, to participate in the village’s Adopt-A-Highway program and will pay the group $100 per event. Step Up is a transitional living program that helps teenagers in foster care progress from state custody to independent living.• An extension was granted for a rock wall improvement on Walkers Way that was funded through the village’s neighborhood improvement program. The funding was awarded in June 2014, with a six-month time period. However, a late start and winter weather delayed the project. It is estimated the project will be completed before the end of May, officials said.• A “Street Not Thru” sign will be placed on Oakwood Estates Drive in an attempt to prevent large trucks from using the street. The request was made by Pat Boylan.• An ordinance authorizing the transfer of three easements along Highway F to MoDOT related to the shoulder widening project was unanimously adopted. MoDOT will be responsible for recording the easements and providing future maintenance. The project consisted of constructing 4-foot-wide, 6-inch-thick aggregate shoulders. The work, which covered 1.6 miles from the Highway M intersection to Oakwood Estate, was done last year.• A contract for landscape management services with Green Horizons was approved by a 5-0 vote for mowing where the village sign is located near the intersection of Highways F and M.Innsbrook trustees meeting
