The Innsbrook Board of Trustees at their Sept. 17 meeting approved rezoning just over 109 acres from the village’s agricultural forest management district to planned development district zoning.
The rezoning followed an annexation of the property, located at the southernmost limits of the Village of Innsbrook, which was approved in July, according to Board Chairman Michael Caton.
“It’s Innsbrook Resort that submitted a request to rezone the property,” Caton said, adding that the resort will submit a plat providing additional detail about its plans for the property at a later date.
Caton said he did not know specifics of the resort’s plans but it was his understanding that the 109.13 acres would be used for some kind of residential development.
Innsbrook Resort’s plat will be reviewed by the Innsbrook Planning & Zoning Commission before coming back to the Board of Trustees for approval.
The Sept. 17 vote on the rezoning was 4-0. Trustee Virgal Woolfolk was absent from the meeting.
