An inmate at the Warren County Jail was charged with endangering a correctional employee by knowingly causing a person to come in contact with bodily fluids during an incident Aug. 25 at 3:18 a.m.
According to a probable cause affidavit submitted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Cortez Adams, 23, Warrenton, allegedly spit into the eye of one of the corrections employees at the jail, located at 104 W. Booneslick Road. The incident occurred during an altercation, but according to the affidavit, Cortez said the incident was unintentional.
Adams was also charged with a misdemeanor count of obstructing government operations.
