An inmate arrested in November for theft is getting a new felony charge for damage done during his stay at the Warren County Jail.David L. Kelley, 24, is charged with first-degree property damage, a class E felony, for damaging a cell door Nov. 30, 2017. The charge was filed by the county prosecutor’s office May 9.Kelley damaged the window of a cell door because he was angry that he was not awake when food was served, according to authorities.The door needed to be replaced at the cost of $1,800, according to a Warren County Sheriff’s Department report.Kelley was arrested in April as the suspect in two burglaries that occurred in September 2017. He has a hearing related to charges of second-degree burglary and stealing scheduled for Thursday, May 17, in Warren County Circuit Court.His hearing for the property damage charge was scheduled for Wednesday, May 16.Kelley also has previous burglary and stealing convictions from June 2017, for which he was given five years of state-supervised probation.Warren County Courthouse and Jail
