State House Representative Bryan Spencer was involved in a four-car crash on Interstate 64 Monday morning that wrecked his vehicle but left him uninjured.A legislative assistant on Tuesday said Spencer was sore, but is otherwise fine. She said his vehicle was significantly damaged and he had to buy another.Spencer represents House District 63, which includes Wright City and Wentzville.The crash happened on eastbound I-64 between Lake St. Louis and Wentzville around 11 a.m., according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. Spencer’s vehicle and two others slowed for traffic, but a fourth vehicle behind the group did not slow in time, the highway patrol stated.The Ford E-150 van driven by Shane R. Bertels, 38, Troy, struck the rear of a Lexus, which struck the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by Spencer. His truck then hit a Jeep Cherokee in front of him.The only person reported to be injured in the collision was the 61-year-old driver of the Lexus, who was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.The highway patrol reported that the Lexus sustained total damage in the wreck, and that the three other vehicles, including Spencer’s, were moderately damaged.All of the drivers involved were wearing seat belts.Rep.
