An employee of Homeyer Precision Manufacturing in Marthasville died Tuesday afternoon after being electrocuted.The man's name is being withheld until next of kin are notified."It's still being investigated by myself, the county coroner and OSHA is on their way down," Jenkins said. "It looks like it was a freak accident."Marthasville Police Chief Eugene Jenkins said the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:51 p.m."It looks like he might have been working on electrical wiring, doing something, and, somehow, he got electrocuted," Jenkins said. "We don't know how exactly."Jenkins said the incident occurred at around 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. The man was unresponsive when emergency crews arrived on the scene.Jenkins said medics tried to revive the man, but their attempts were unsuccessful.Jenkins said Homeyer closed for the day after the incident."They brought preachers from the area in to help out and shut the plant down," he said.Jenkins said the man had been employed at Homeyer for a little over a year.City of Marthasville
