The Hometown Christmas event in downtown Warrenton will take place Saturday, Dec. 2. Most of the event will be between 3-5:30 p.m. but several will happen in the morning or later that night.
A variety of attractions and vendors will be available all afternoon, including a visit from Santa at Brenda Sue’s costume shop and Christmas displays at the Warren County Museum.
The annual Hometown Christmas parade has been canceled this year.
Here is a schedule of the day’s activities:
7 a.m. — Pancake Day at College United Methodist Church
8 a.m. — Cookie Walk at Friedens United Church of Christ
3-5:30 — Hometown Christmas events
— Santa at Brenda Sue’s costume shop
— Christmas displays at Warren County Historical Society Museum
— Warrenton firefighters downtown
3-5:30 p.m. — Goody bag giveaways, Warrenton City Hall
3-5:30 p.m. — Chili cookoff at Brewskies
3-5:30 p.m. — Raffles and drawings at participating downtown businesses
4 p.m. — Innsbrook Choir, Friedens United Church of Christ
5 p.m. — Tree lighting, Friedens UCC
5-7 p.m. — Live Nativity scene, Friedens UCC
8 p.m. — “A Christmas Carol” live performance at Belle Star Playhouse.
