Record Staff WriterHoly Rosary School in Warrenton is experiencing a rapid increase in its enrollment for the 2015-16 school year, which is projected to be up at least 110 percent.“We have 90 currently enrolled for next year with hopes to add more to the Holy Rosary School family this summer,” said Principal Lori Racine, who just completed her first year at the school. This rise in enrollment has prompted the school to hire an additional teacher. Matt Johnson, a first-time teacher, has been selected to fill the position.“The Holy Rosary staff and administration feel that Mr. Johnson will be a huge asset and are very excited to welcome him to the team,” said Racine.Johnson received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Though this will be Johnson’s first teaching position, he is not unfamiliar with the school. He spent the 2014-15 school year as a substitute teacher.Racine credits Johnson with an ability to perform well in the school.“Not only did he prove to be an effective educator, but he shared his passion for teaching in a Catholic school environment,” she said.Johnson will teach science and math for students in fifth through eighth grades. He also will serve as the homeroom teacher for fifth and sixth grades.Matt Johnson
