Highway work will affect some county drivers

Several Missouri Department of Transportation projects will affect drivers rural areas of Warren County this week, including road closures along Highway 94.

The work is planned to begin in northern Warren County, where crews plan to have Highway A at Camp Creek Bridge down to one lane from Jan. 6 to Jan. 9. Maintenance work on the bridge will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, according to MoDOT.

In southern Warren County, MoDOT is planning closures on Highway 94 on two days. Jan. 7, the highway will be closed from Smith Creek Road to Bernheimer Road for a culvert replacement. The work will be completed between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

On Jan. 8, Highway 94 will be closed from Pickney Bottom Road to Boeuf Island Road for another culvert replacement. This work will also be done between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

All the projects are weather dependent and could be rescheduled or delayed. For more information, contact MoDOT's Customer Service Center toll-free at 1-888-ASK MoDOT (275-6636). All roadwork is posted on MoDOT's online traveler information map, and more information can be found online at www.modot.org/northeast.
