Highway 94 in southern Warren County is closed from Highway 47 west to Highway U due to flooding, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. After recent heavy rains, the National Weather Service said the Missouri River at Washington was at 26 feet Thursday morning, 6 feet above flood stage, leading to moderate flooding. The forecast for the river as of 11:30 a.m. Thursday predicts a crest at almost 30 feet on Saturday. That will put Highway 47 at risk of taking on water near Augusta Bottom Road and near the Highway 94 intersection at Dutzow, the weather service said. The Missouri River could rise high enough to threaten Highway 47 sometime Friday or early Saturday. But the forecast could also change over the next two days, said Mike Daniels with the Warren County Emergency Management Agency. "We're monitoring the situation right now," Daniels said. All updates about possible closure of Highway 47 or other roads will be shared on the Warren County Emergency Management Agency Facebook page (ww.facebook.com/WcmoEMA).Drivers are warned to never drive over flooded roads. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage.Street FloodingKSwinicki
