The Scenic Regional Library Warren County branch is seeking holiday cards and donations to fill care packages to send to the troops.Requested items may drop be dropped off at the library, located at 912 S. Highway 47 in Warrenton, or brought to the library’s military night event Monday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m.Items needed are as follows:Cards and letters addressed to soldiers;Beef Jerky, Slim Jims;M&Ms, Twizzlers, Tootsie Rolls;Granola Bars;4.75-5.0 ounce cans of meat with tab pull tops;Single-serve oatmeal packets;Kleenex travel packs;Microwave popcorn, individual size;Gum, in five-packs;Single packets of hot cocoa mix;Handmade draw-string “ditty bags;”Playing cards;Comics;Top fold, 3- by 5-inch notebooks;Pencils;White ankle socks;Travel-size personal items, such as toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, lip balm, body lotion, hand sanitizer, Q-tips;Medicated foot powder and body wash.For more information, people may call the library at 636-456-3321.Care packages
