Health Department releases new informational app

Posted

The Warren County Health Department is excited to announce the release of the organization’s new smartphone application.

This app will serve as a new way for the health department to connect with Warren County residents and visitors, providing information quickly and efficiently to anyone with a smartphone. The Health Department has been using the new app to make various permits and forms available to the public, to send notifications of new classes being offered, to distribute information about food recalls and to inform the community about walk-in or special services provided in the department’s clinics.

Future uses may include emergency instructions in the event of a disaster, links to Warren County food and lodging inspection results, special events and more.

Those who download the app are encouraged to sign up for push notifications in order to be alerted to any announcements or important notices.

“We will continue to use social media, radio spots and the newspaper to share information with the public, but are excited to add this new method to reach a larger audience,” the Warren County Health Department said in a press release.

The app is free and can be downloaded by scanning the above QR code with your smartphone camera, or by going to the App Store (Apple devices) or Google Play (Android devices) and downloading directly from there.
