To The Editor: The Republicans pulled the American Health Care Act, their version of health care. They couldn’t push it through the House of Representatives, which they overwhelmingly control. What happens now? With Congress out of the picture, at least for now, changes made to the Affordable Care Act will come from the Department of Health and Human Services, which is headed by former Congressman Tom Price. Secretary Price is no fan of the Affordable Care Act. He had his own plan to repeal it, which could be the reason he got this job. Repealing the Affordable Care Act will change health care. This could be good or bad, depending on which side of the issue you’re on.But this didn’t happen, so any changes to the Affordable Care Act, the law of the land for the past seven years, will come through the Department of Health and Human Services and Price, the Trump appointee confirmed by a Republican Senate. (Those potential) changes could affect the benefits people in Warren County receive. If changes come and affect you, I hope it’s for the better, but please stop blaming Obama, he’s gone.
