A 62-year-old Defiance man was killed Saturday night, March 12, in a head-on collision on Route D in St. Charles County.Rickey Barnes was pronounced dead at 12:18 a.m. March 13 at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Two people in the second vehicle, identified as 34-year-old John A. Clark and 33-year-old Michelle L. Clark, both of Lake Sherwood, had serious injuries and were transported to Mercy Hospital Washington.The crash was reported at 9:30 p.m. west of old Route D. The patrol said Barnes was driving a 2002 Buick Century eastbound when it crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by John Clark. The Clarks were wearing seat belts, the patrol said, but Barnes was not.Fatal crash
