Mr. Guy Robert Hoffman, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2021 in Warrenton Missouri.  Guy was born on July 4, 1933 in Ladue, Missouri, where he spent his childhood.  He had reached the age of 88 years.

When he was young, he attended Wentzville High School and worked at the Skyline Truck Stop. He was such a kind young man, that one day, Ruth Spoede insisted that he just had to meet her daughter, Arlene.  He fell in love and was married to Arlene Spoede in 1952.  They raised a beautiful family with 4 children in Warrenton, Missouri.  He was an Army Veteran in the 82nd Airborne, serving as a paratrooper at Fort Riley in North Carolina, during the Korean War.  Guy was a devoted husband and father.  He was active in the Faith Christian Fellowship Church, where he served locally, as well as internationally on mission trips.  He owned a local plumbing business, Hoffman Plumbing, where he would do anything for his customers.  He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off of his own back to help others.  In addition to always being helpful, he knew how to make other people laugh; he was an avid storyteller with endless amounts of jokes, ready to be pulled out at any moment.  In his leisurely time, he enjoyed Tuesday Night Golf Club, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and eating too much candy..especially Twizzlers.  Guy Hoffman was an honorable and upstanding citizen who was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Hoffman.  His memory and spirit are living through his 4 children; Robert Hoffman, Ralph Hoffman, Cheryl Wortham and Jean Stiehl;  his 10 grandchildren and his 10 great-grandchildren.

A public visitation for Guy Hoffman was held at Martin Funeral Home on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.  All other funeral services were private.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project, c/o Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383.  Online condolences may be made at www.martinfuneral.net
