A Montgomery City woman pleaded guilty last week to two drug charges stemming from an arrest at Abel’s Quik Shop in Wright City last year.Wendy N. Meyers, 42, Montgomery City, pleaded guilty July 3 to charges of delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia in Warren County Circuit Court. She was given a five-year probation by Presiding Judge Wes Dalton.Meyers was arrested Aug. 1, 2017, outside the store after police found her in possession of numerous pill bottles and ledgers containing information about prescription narcotic sales. She has a prior conviction for felony drug possession from 2017.Another suspect, Thomas M. Timmermeier III, 29, Montgomery City, was arrested along with Meyers. He was convicted in March of the same charges, along with resisting arrest for a felony and driving with a revoked license. Numerous bags of suspected methamphetamine and heroin were found in the vehicle he was driving, in which Meyers was the passenger. Timmermeier was sentenced to 10 years in prison.Timmermeier has a lengthy record of drug-related convictions and other felonies. He currently is serving multiple concurrent prison sentences for convictions in Warren, Montgomery and St. Charles counties. The two suspects were originally noticed by police at Abel’s responding to a report of property damage. Timmermeier and Meyers were in a pickup truck in the parking lot of the convenience store, and ducked down in the vehicle whenever police looked at them, according to a police report. After Timmermeier attempted to flee and was subdued, police speaking to Meyers saw multiple pill bottles in plain view in her open purse. Both suspects were carrying a large amount of cash that police say is consistent with the sale of illegal narcotics.
