NEW INDUSTRY — Area business and civic leaders, including Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon, participated in a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday in Jonesburg on a $100 million state-of-the-art asphalt roofing shingle manufacturing and distribution facility. The manufacturer, CertainTeed, based out of Valley Forge, Pa., is building a 60,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and a 100,000-square-foot warehouse on the site which will serve as a Midwestern distribution center for all of the company’s roofing products. The project is expected to create 100 new jobs. Gov.
