Governor Mike Parson announced on Oct. 25 that he will appoint Jonathan A. Yelton of Jefferson City as Associate Circuit Judge for Warren County in the 12th Judicial District.
Current Judge Richard Scheibe is running unopposed in the Nov. 5 election although he has announced his decision to retire, leaving a vacancy in the position to be filled by Yelton.
Yelton is deputy general counsel for Parson’s office and holds a bachelors of science from Sterling College and a JD from the University of Kansas.
