For the second year in a row, Oak Pointe of Warrenton has received a zero deficiency in a state survey. It is the best rating an assisted living center can receive on this survey conducted by the Department of Health and Human Services.“We pride ourselves on the services that we provide to residents,” said Executive Director Stephanie Horn. “Our entire staff is to be commended for this show of excellence and caring, without each and every one of then we would not be able to make this possible.”The center earned the rating in 2016 and now in 2017. Assisted living communities across Missouri are licensed and regulated by the Department of Health and Human Services. The department helps to ensure that all facilities meet regulations through routine on-site “surveys,” or audits, of a center’s daily operations.Through the course of a survey, auditors observe staff interacting with residents, meal process, activity engagement, review medical records, employee records and medication passes. They also ensure there is enough staff to deliver quality services to all residents. After a comprehensive review, the survey team told Oak Pointe of Warrenton staff that they found no deficient practices at the center.
