Glenda Klasener, a beautiful, strong, sassy woman with a heart bigger than life, will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. She passed away on August 13.

Glenda was born on December 16, 1940, in Caruthersville, Missouri, to Raymond McCoy and Olva Johnson. She spent her life building a family and a legacy that will continue through the many lives she touched. Glenda was a woman who could light up a room with her personality. She was beautiful inside and out, full of heart, full of love, and never afraid to let you know exactly what was on her mind. She had a sassy spirit that made her uniquely Glenda, and those who knew her best will forever smile when they think of her quick wit, strong personality, and unforgettable presence.

One of Glenda's greatest joys was her family. She loved spending time with them and treasured the memories made together. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, each holding a special place in her heart. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and one of the greatest sources of her happiness. Glenda also had a love for shopping. Whether she was looking for something she needed or simply enjoyed a day out, shopping was something she genuinely loved. It was just one of the many things that brought her joy and gave her opportunities to spend time with the people she loved.

Glenda dedicated 21 years of her life to working with Warren County Handicap, where she gave her time and heart to helping others. Her compassion and caring nature were a reflection of the person she was in every part of her life.

Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Klasener; her parents, Raymond McCoy and Olva Johnson; her siblings, Joe McCoy, Leon McCoy, Debbie Johnson, Freddy McCoy, Curtis McCoy, Tommy McCoy, Cathy Stoffragen, David McCoy. She is survived by her children, Jennifer Erickson (Bill), Laura Abram (Mike), Deanna Klasener, Shannon Johnson (Tommy), siblings, Gerald McCoy of Caruthersville, MO; Shirley Bailey of Arnold, MO; Emma Gan of St. Genevieve, MO; and Patricia Jones of Virginia; along with her 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many other beloved family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Glenda's life was filled with love, family, laughter, strength, and plenty of sass. She leaves behind memories that will be cherished for generations and a family who will forever be grateful for the love she gave them. Though she may no longer be here to go shopping, tell us exactly what she thinks, or gather around with the family she loved so dearly, her spirit will live on in every story told, every laugh shared, and every heart she touched. She was loved deeply, she will be missed tremendously, and she will never be forgotten.

A funeral Mass wil be held Thursday, August 20, at 10 A.M. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Memorials can be made to the funeral home for final expenses in care of Pitman Funeral Home.
