Give Back Run is Saturday; Proceeds go to the Tribute to Veterans Memorial

The Give Back 5K run and Walk is Saturday, June 24, on the grounds of the former Warrenton Outlet Mall. The event offers something for children and adults with a 5K run and walk and a Little Soldiers Dash. “We are going to have the Warrenton Fire Protection District there. They are going to bring a truck and give mini tours for the kids,” said Amy Vacek, center manager for SSM Health Physical Therapy in Warrenton.SSM Heath Physical Therapy, K4 Fitness and Hapkido Plus are organizing the event. The businesses worked together to create a healthy community event that would also raise funds for the Tribute to Veterans Memorial.Vacek said many people are interested but organizers are seeking more runners and walkers for the 5K. The run starts and ends at K4 Performance Complex at the former outlet mall. The race fee is $30. Children ages 10 and younger can take part in the little soldier dash for $10.Participants will receive an event T-shirt while supplies last. Runners and walkers can pick up race packets from 4-5:30 p.m. Friday, June 23, at K4 Fitness and Hapkido Plus at 402 Progress Parkway in Warrenton. Race packets will be available at 7 a.m. on race day. The walk and run starts at 8 am The Little Soldiers Dash is at 9:15 a.m.The first-, second- and third-place winners in each division for men and women will be recognized.
